Where Shall We Go?

It was Friday afternoon, and the school year was nearly over. Lina, Omar and Sami were sitting in the schoolyard, wondering what to do at the weekend.

“Shall we go to the cinema?” asked Lina. “There’s a new animated film at the Colisée.” Omar wasn’t sure: “Maybe it’s fully booked. Why don’t we go to the beach instead?” Sami shook his head. “I regret going to the beach last week: I got a terrible sunburn!”

In the end, they agreed to watch the film on Saturday and eat out afterwards. The film was even better than the one they had seen in March. “What a beautiful story!” said Lina when the lights came on. At the restaurant, Sami ordered a big plate of couscous. “This is just what I needed,” he laughed.

On the way home, Omar told them about his favourite singer, who spends her free time painting. “I’m interested in her paintings,” said Lina. Sami didn’t mind: “I don’t care about singers, but I’m sure that we had a great day.”

Hi Adam,

The holidays have finally started! Shall we do something fun next weekend? I suggest that we go to the new skating park in Ariana on Saturday morning. Maybe it will be crowded, but I’m sure we will have a good time. In the evening, why don’t we watch the football match at my house? My mum will make pizza. What a great plan! Last weekend I stayed at home all day, and I regret wasting so much time on my phone. This time, I want to go out. Tell me what you think, and don’t forget your helmet!
